To help, from the theoretical standpoint, in the molecular design of novel materials, in particular :

- conjugated polymeric materials displaying electrical conductivities in the metallic or semiconducting regimes;
- conjugated oligomeric and/or polymeric compounds presenting important optical nonlinearities;
- dielectric or conducting polymers showing strong adhesion to metal.
