In context of the BESOCIAL research project (2020 – 2022), financed by BELSPO through the BRAIN 2.0 program, a crowdsourcing campaign was launched. Via a press campaign and a video (in Dutch 
or French ) the Belgian public was asked to nominate social media content linked to Belgian cultural heritage . Those interested could fill in an online form on the KBR website to nominate relevant Twitter & Instagram handles and hashtags. After a control by KBR to see if the content aligned with the selection criteria, the content was taken up in the collection by means of web archiving tools. In total they received 750 nominations, mostly concerning Belgian news and recent events, but also gastronomy, for example. It was a valuable first experience with crowdsourcing within KBR and the Library is considering working with crowdsourcing again in the future.
