Robert Knockaert has a background in mechanical engineering with a specialization in material sciences. He has worked at as a mechanical engineer in Thales Alenia Space during which he worked on several projects including Sentinel-3A. Mr. Knockaert joined ESA in 2014 where he worked on different projects for the Science and Earth Observation directorates, such as Euclid and Sentinel-6A. In 2020 he started working on the ARIEL mission and in early 2022 he was appointed Ariel mechanical, thermal and propulsion systems engineer.
In this talk, Mr Knockaert will provide an overview of the ARIEL mission and its search for Exoplanets.
