Nicolas Savoye obtained his PhD degree in 2001 at the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (Brest, France). His doctoral thesis is entitled « Origine et transfert de matière organique particulaire dans les écosystèmes littoraux macrotidaux ». From 2001 to 2005 he occupied a Post Doc position in the dept. of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He implemented the methodology for assessment of export production based on the 234Th deficit approach. Presently he has a permanent position at the Observatoire Aquitain des Sciences de l’Univers, Arcachon (France) Primary and export production: a multi-proxy approach. Nicolas is phycisian joining the National Council of Astronomes and Physicians.
