| Description fr | La région de Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), comme d'autres régions du Delta du Mékong, possède un réseau particulièrement dense de fleuves, et de canaux et offrent des avantages potentiels en termes de communication et de transport fluvial. Or linfrastructure existante s'avère complètement insuffisante pour le transport comme pour la lutte contre les inondations. De ce fait, les trois types d'action interactives que sont le transfert de connaissances, les études et recherches destinées à maintenir et développer les réseaux de voies d'eau comme infrastructure de transport et de lutte contre les inondations s'avèrent indispensables. Le 16 mars 2012, lUniversité de Liège a officiellement signé avec la « Water Resources University-WRU » de HCMC-Hanoi une convention de collaboration pour créer un « Centre Régional de Formation et de Recherche en Ingénierie Hydraulique et Navigation Fluviale à HCMC. | Description en | The project consists in ensuring a technological transfer in the field of Hydraulic Engineering and of River Navigation through thecreation and development of a Regional Training Center and Research in this area (R & D Center). The overall objective of the R & DCenter is therefore to organize, in collaboration with the Vietnamese partner Water Resources University - Thuyloi, activities astraining, research, expertise and short courses. With regard to the action of training, the 3-cycles of each18 months' program of the Certificate of University entitled 'Executive Master in Sustainable Hydraulic Structures have been successfully completed. Short courses have also been provided by experts sent by Uliege/Anast. In the field of research, a Vietnamese WRU doctoral student has carried out his research in ULiege. A 2nd doctoral student from WRU is arrived in June 2016 for the same purpose. With regard of a project of public river transport in Ho Chi Minh City, generated by our R & D Cent
