| Description nl | In dit project worden een aantal modellen ontwikkeld die de verschillende aspecten van auditieve perceptie simuleren. Hierbij worden computationele intelligentie technieken gebruikt om de kloof tussen laag-niveau geluidskenmerken en hoog-niveau concepten, zoals betekenis en emoties, beschreven in woorden, te dichten. Dit onderzoek zal ten goede komen aan de ontwikkeling van technologie voor het analyseren van omgevingsgeluid.

| Description en | In this project, a framework of models that simulate the different stages of auditory perception of environmental sound is built. The approach uses computational intelligence techniques to bridge the gap between low-level acoustical features and high-level concepts, such as meaning and evoked emotions, described through words. This research will benefit the development of technology that requires analyzing ambient sound.
