| Description nl | De prevalentie van voorkamerfibrillatie (VKF) is hoog en zal nog verder stijgen. VKF vormt een grote belasting voor het huidige gezondheidszorgsysteem. Onze onderzoeksgroep heeft reeds verschillende observationele studies gedaan om de huidige tekortkomingen in de zorg van VKF patiënten in kaart te brengen. Daarenboven hebben we ook verschillende nieuwe interventies getest om zo het VKF beleid te optimaliseren. Ondanks voldoende bewijs dat er een interdisciplinair, verpleegkundig-gecoördineerde aanpak vereist is, is er nood aan extra onderzoek hieromtrent.Dit project wil meer inzicht verwerven in de verschillende factoren die bijdragen tot het succes van geïntegreerde zorg, met een focus op de effecten van een gestructureerde educatie en gestroomlijnde communicatie.

| Description en | The prevalence of atrial fibrillation (VKF) is high and will increase even further. VKF is a major burden for the current healthcare system. Our research group has already conducted various observational studies to map the current shortcomings in the care of VKF patients. In addition, we have also tested several new interventions to optimize the VKF policy. Despite sufficient evidence that an interdisciplinary, nursing-coordinated approach is required, there is a need for additional research in this regard.This project aims to gain more insight into the various factors contributing to the success of integrated care, with a focus on the effects of structured education and streamlined communication.
