The “Centre for Historical Research and Documentation on War and Contemporary Society” currently has 350,000 photos, two-thirds of which can be consulted on the internet. They mainly concern the Second World War but also relate to other themes such as the First World War, the 1930s, the 1950s and colonisation. Besides its photographic collections, the CEGES-SOMA also has a large amount of archives, posters and interviews on the entire history of the 20th century.
