The existing finite-element program will be transferred from a Sun workstation to the IBM 3090.
The program will be modified to make fully use of the vector and parallel programming possibilities of the IBM.
Where possible, subroutines of the vectorised mathematical NAG library will be used.
3D and anisotropic finite-element simulations of metalforming processes will be performed with the vectorised and parallelised version of the program.
