The research determines, on the basis of an in-depth analysis of EU regulations, which rules are liable to improve the legal protection of citizens under the law applicable to matters of forced execution.

This evolution should go in the direction of broadening the possibilities for the creditor to ensure that the execution order in his favour is translated into reality, but provided that these reinforced safeguards granted to the creditor do not lead to the exclusion of the debtor from social and economic life.

Alternatives to forced execution are proposed.
