Research project PE/SS/10 (Research action PE)
Social security is a vast field and it is useful to specify the area to which the resource centre applies. the sectors covered by the centre will be the following :
- the general scheme applicable to wage-earners;
- the scheme applicable to the self-employed;
- the scheme of voluntary and complementary insurance in the areas of pensions and health care;
- special schemes applicable to wage-earners;
- residual social welfare schemes;
- the overseas social security system;
- the scheme applicable to public office.
The activities are of two types :
- the "service" activities : a certain number of statistical data will be collected and made available to the customers of the resource centre (existing statistics, Banque-Carrefour, and PRESOC system);
- "research" activities : research will be undertaken on the interpretation and comparison of statistical data (budgetary figures, economic figures, population).
