The study describes in detail the marital situation of Moroccan women under Belgian internal law, and casts light on aspects and components of this situation which form a problem from the perspective of the international harmonisation of legal systems (international law on the one hand, and national legislation - in this case the Belgian and Moroccan legal systems - on the other).
