Research
Rafael Fernandez is beginning a PhD focused on
the study of the cyanobacterial diversity of Antarctic’s microbial
mats in lakes and soils by using a polyphasic approach (traditional
and molecular) based on environmental samples and cultures.
His work is financed by the “Fundación Alfonso Martín
Escudero”, a private Spanish foundation.
