The Biermans-Lapôtre Foundation, a residence for students from Belgium and Luxembourg located at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, has housed more than 500 students, researchers and professors from around the world every year since 1926.
Since it was founded, more than 25,000 students have stayed at the Foundation. It also hosts academic, scientific and cultural activities organised by universities in Belgium, Luxembourg and France by or for its own residents.
the Foundation is the result of an exemplary cooperation between Belgium, Luxembourg and France. Supported financially by the Belgium Science Policy and Luxembourg’s Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
The Foundation wants to be the meeting point and showcase of higher education and research of Belgium and Luxembourg in Paris.
The Foundation offers bursaries for a maximum duration of one to three months to students with artistic and scientific projects.
This institution is a study and meeting place for international mobility. The residence has already welcomed students and researchers of more than 23 nationalities.
Each year, the Belgian Science Policy gives funding representing the intervention of Belgium to various education related institutions - public or private, Belgian or foreign.
Given the nature and the national or international missions of these institutions, the subsidies or credits continue to be borne by the federal budget.
