ESERO Belgium is a joint initiative from ESA and BELSPO within ESA's European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) network that aims to encourage young Europeans to opt for scientific studies or simply to generate and maintain their interest in science and technology. Contrary to the educational initiatives of the ESA-Academy (for university students), the ESERO programme is not aimed directly at students, but at primary and secondary school teachers. By providing teachers with teaching materials and training that they can use directly in their classrooms, the ESERO program can efficiently reach a large number of students.
By associating space themes with primary and secondary school curricula, ESERO responds to young people's fascination with space in order to improve their scientific and technological knowledge.
