Le PROgramme de Développement d'EXpériences scientifiques (PRODEX) est un programme de l'Agence spatiale européenne (ESA), auquel la Belgique, en tant qu’Etat membre de l'ESA, participe depuis juin 1988.
L'objectif de PRODEX est de fournir un (co)financement pour le développement et l'exploitation d'instruments et d'expériences scientifiques dans le cadre des programmes spatiaux de l'ESA, ainsi que d’autres institutions spatiales.
Trois domaines scientifiques sont couverts: Sciences de la Vie et Sciences physiques en milieu spatial, Observation de la Terre et Sciences spatiales.
L'un des objectifs majeurs de PRODEX est de favoriser la collaboration entre les institutions scientifiques et l'industrie au sein de chaque état participant.
Des développements technologiques non liés à des activités d’exploitation scientifique dans PRODEX ne peuvent être supportés.
